Note: Plaswood Blinds are heavier to operate than Wood Venetian Blinds.

PVC MODWOOD 50MM

This product is a great alternative where the environment is not suitable for real wood blinds. Modwood Venetians is a great complement to the wood and has a high tolerance for moisture / humidity dense areas. Modwood blinds are available in slat width of 50mm only and comes with a standard PVC valance.

Modwood is becoming ever more popular in creating an attractive and modern look.

This product is made from a high quality and ecofriendly PVC. BUT REMEMBER IT IS A PVC PRODUCT; therefore, there is NO guarantee on warping, bowing, discolouring, etc. Over a period of time fading may occur – to minimalize this, please regularly tilt slats in both directions.

This is a very robust product, ideally suitable for areas with humidity (different to heat buildup) and high moisture. Ventilation in these areas are very important, as heat buildup and wetness will cause problems. The temperature between blind and window can be double the temperature in the sun.

The PVC slatting is ideal to use in moist areas, but high concentrations of moisture can cause corrosion of the headrail whether aluminium or metal. Humidity caused by steam with enough ventilation, is not the same as humidity caused by windows/doors staying closed for long periods of time where one can actually smell the wetness / dampness. Even damp or clammy walls can cause problems to the blinds.

Modwood blinds are 35% heavier than real wood and large blinds are not suitable for areas where they have to be lifted regularly.

Cleaning Method for Modwood Venetian Blinds

• Slats should be wiped down with a soft cloth on a regular basis. (Take care not to bend or break the slats)
• Close to the sea? - regularly wash the salt deposit of the slats.
• Do NOT use any abrasive chemicals on slats.
• NEVER clean printed/painted Modwood Blinds with a thinner-based solvent. This would remove the topcoat of the slats and cause irreparable damage to the blind.
• Do NOT pull the blind up while it is still wet or damp.

These venetian blinds are ideal for rooms such as the kitchen, bathroom, or laundry. Minimal maintenance is required. For example, if the bathroom gets hot and steamy PVC blinds are a good choice. PVC blinds can get wet and most things you splatter on them will wipe straight off. Even though these blinds are durable, care should be taken with any blind product. Do not subject this product to heat exceeding 50°C. For windows subject to high heat, we recommend Dreamwood, Bamboo and Wood venetian blinds.
